Political Action

An effort is being made to rejuvenate the CUPE 4163 Political Action Committee (PAC). The mandate, composition, and scope of the PAC is open for discussion, but the focus of such a committee is normally to work on broader political campaigns that impact on the lives of CUPE 4163 members.  For example, the current debate/discussion regarding public-private partnerships (P3s) and Victoria's sewage treatment system could be an issue for the PAC to tackle, in conjunction with CUPE BC.  If you're interested in social justice issues involving the environment, human rights, access to public services, etc. please contact Dave Thomas. thomasd at uvic.ca
