NEW: CUPE Childcare Reimbursement Policy

Childcare Reimbursement is intended for CUPE 4163 members who attend CUPE 4163 general membership meetings and have to pay “out of pocket” for childcare in order to participate.

A member must submit a signed and completed Childcare Reimbursement Form (available at the meeting) to the union office. Forms must be received in the union office within 7 calendar days after the general membership meeting.

Members cannot request money to pay spouses or partners for childcare.

The union does not guarantee that all members will be reimbursed for the full amount that they submit. The maximum reimbursement will be $30 per family. Reimbursements will be determined by the union’s budget committee.

Members seeking reimbursement should receive their cheques within 2 weeks of the submission deadline.
