Aerin Jacob

aerin (2)Aerin was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow with the ACS Lab at the University of Victoria, funded by the Fonds de recherche du Quebec – Nature et technologies. Her research interests include the synergies and trade-offs between managing for biodiversity and ecosystem services, the effects of human disturbance on ecosystems, and the restoration of degraded habitats and landscapes. Aerin works closely with managers and communities to conduct applied research directly relevant to conservation and landscape planning. Her postdoctoral research focuses on the ecological consequences of human predation on wildlife. Her PhD research was on forest and animal restoration and ecology of Kibale National Park, Uganda. Previously she worked as a researcher and environmental consultant on wildlife behaviour, ecology, and conservation in East Africa and North America.
