Our focus...

The lab mainly focuses on environmental psychology, with some emphasis on social and personality psychology. We are firmly committed to the idea that understanding and solving scientific and societal problems also requires knowledge and expertise from other social sciences, natural sciences, applied sciences, and policy experts.

Within environmental psychology, our interests include capturing and describing the Dragons of Inaction, climate change messaging and behaviour-change strategies, transportation alternatives such as plug-in electric vehicles, place attachment, commons or resource dilemmas (see FISH), green buildings, measuring building facades objectively, gamification for sustainability, and cultural differences in these topics.

Within social and personality psychology, our interests include nonverbal behaviour, a theory of interpersonal evaluation, potential extensions of the Big Five, and the development of tools for objectively measuring individual differences.
