Thank you
To our dear friends and supporters of the first I-Witness Holocaust Field School:
Words fail us when trying to express our gratitude for your support and efforts on behalf of the I-witness Holocaust Field School Project. You have changed the lives of 23 students and helped preserve the memory of millions. From the two of us, we want you to know that this inaugural Holocaust Field School was one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of our lives.
Office of International Affairs
Dr. James Anglin and the University of Victoria's Office of International Affairs initially championed the I-witness course concept after it was developed by Thorson and Gans in the Spring of 2010, and the field school continues to garner support across campus and beyond.
Faculty of the Humanities
We wants to thank Dr. John Archibald, Dean, Faculty of Humanities for transforming our vision into an annual field school which continues to expand and change the lives of future generations.
In addition, we want to sincerely thank Karen Whyte, Development Officer, Faculty of Humanities at the University of Victoria for her tireless efforts in securing the funding needed to help our students participate in the inaugural field school and for her continued efforts in growing the field school so that others may become eyewitnesses of the future!
Faculty of Graduate Studies
In addition, we sincerely thank Dr. Aaron Devor, Dean, Graduate Studies for his belief in the project and for remaining undeterred in his constant support of all of our efforts.
TravelCUTS
Without Colleen Jackson and her professional staff at TravelCUTS, it would have been impossible to create this affordable, comprehensive and educational itinerary. Colleen gave freely of her time to attend all of our Information Sessions and was constantly available to students whenever they needed help with making their travel arrangements. From the moment you meet her, you realize she has your best interests at heart. It was a privilege working with her and TravelCUTS.
