Summer Institute 2005 July 4-8 th

The Summer Institute wrapped up on July 8th.

During this summer institute held in Victoria, BC, people participated in viewing and discussiong the latest Childrens Global Arts art work from around the world. Especially welcome were staff members from Erin Woods Elementary School in Calgary Alberta.

Participants also had opportunities to consider how they would implement the ideas central to the Children's Global Arts project in their own educational context

Educators attending this conference also received presentations on alternate school experiences which focused on integrating environmental awareness and practice with all domains of educational practice.

Participants enjoyed watching performances by children concerning equitable food production and practice (the chocolate factory).
