Chapter 2

1. We used to go for a walk in the evening. We would stop at a very beautiful shop window on Lombardi Street. I liked to look at the long and short dresses.

2. She is thinking about going to the zoo with the children tomorrow after school. The little ones love to see the monkeys and the seals but they are afraid of the bear!

3. You must stop thinking about Alessandra. You are right - she is beautiful, but she is not well-mannered. And then, she is so sad the whole blessed day!

4. As children, Maria and Elena attended kindergarten at about 20 kilometers from home. They were very healthy and carefree children but the teacher would call them "boisterous."

5. I did not want to go to Trento because it was muggy in the summer and foggy in the winter. I like it when the weather is clear!

6. He had about a hundred eggs in the fridge but he didn't have any toys for the kids. How could they have a good upbringing? He was a good poet, but he didn't work much. The children were always dirty and tired.
