Self-Assessment
I chose the material I did because I have had a life-long love of J. R. R. Tolkien and his works. I wanted to make a site that was a good overview of Tolkien's life, works, art and the influence he had on prolific writers of today. This is a site I have been wanting to make for a while, but I didn't have the skills before. I am very pleased with the graphic work I did on the main banner.
The main thing that I found didn't work was the biography. I am so interested in the subject that I ended up writing too much. It was originally all on one page, so I edited it to have the very compressed version on the main biography page, and the extra stuff I wrote on the supplementary pages, if people were so interested.
Technical issues I would like to improve would be the navigation bar on the biography pages. I should've made another template, for the biography pages, but instead I cut and pasted, which took more time. I'm also not sure if there is a better way to do it than in a table.
