The IALSA / HALCyon joint meeting was held at West Dean College, near Chichester, Sussex, UK. The aim of this conference was to further develop inter-cohort collaborations across life course and longitudinal studies of aging.

Highlights of the meeting included:

• Workshop on measurement and modelling of functional trajectories across the life course

• Presentations by IALSA and HALCyon members
