On Wombats

Like other pouch-toting mammals of Australia, the wombat is a marsupial. Nocturnal, burrowing, omnivorous (eats fibre-optic cable among other things); the hairy-nosed wombat lives in places like Humbug Scrub in the north-west of South Australia.
