Misty Morning - Ioannina, Greece

I have fond memories of Ioannina, Greece. In 1970, I was runner up at the Junior World Championships in rowing (skiff). I was there again in 2008, giving a keynote address at a conference on science in early childhood. On May 31, 2011, I received an honorary doctorate. I will return again in November/December 2011 to give a keynote address at a conference on mathematics learning.
Already decades ago, I went to the lake in the early morning. It can be misty, and apparently in May/June always is. It is also a mystical moment, as the fog rises with the sun coming over the mountains. I like the appearance of the blue colors reflected by the lake, pushing back against the grey of the fog.
