Tenth Day – The Forecast didn't Call for it: Sun and Nice Temperatures

The forecast was for rain. Once again, Victoria weather. You do not really know what you get. It was nice and warm, one of the warmest days so far this winter.
The bees took this opportunity to come out. I have never seen so many come out.

I thought they might be interested in some flowers and pollen. There is some heather no more than 15 feet from the two hives. But I did not see a single bee. Most stay right next to the hive, others take a breath-taking spin through the air as if they were exalted to have some sun and warmth.
There was lots of activity on the sirup jars. They drank a lot and I had to replenish one of the two hives, the other one had a refill already a few days ago. I already have another jar, because they are emptying the 500 mL rather quickly..

At first, I thought this one was just taking some sun. But then I noticed she was not moving. But she is still hanging on, as if clinging to life in her death.

While some bees are flying, others are just as pleased to hang out on the outside of the hive. I guess the wood is warm, and the bees are just walking about or even resting in the same place.
