Paul Fagan to Moderate Fourteenth YoU Twitter Chat

On Friday, April 12 at 5 pm GMT+1 / 12 pm EDT / 9 am PST, Paul Fagan will moderate the MVP’s fourteenth YoU Twitter chat, focussing specifically on “Eumaeus.” The hashtag for the Twitter chat is #yearofulysses.

Paul Fagan is a lecturer in British Literature at the University of Tromsø, and an adjunct lecturer in Modernism and Irish Literature at the University of Vienna, where he is readying his PhD project “Spectacles of Blindness and Insight: The Comic, the Sublime, and the Genre of Truth in the Irish Tradition from Swift to Beckett” for submission. Have previously published articles on Joyce in Joyce Studies in Italy, Paul has forthcoming book chapters with Syracuse, Manchester University Press, and Rodopi. He is also one of the primary editors of the forthcoming collection Flann O’Brien: Contesting Legacies.

Paul is the current co-president of the International Flann O’Brien Society (IFOBS), which he co-founded with Ruben Borg in 2011. In this capacity, Paul is also the co-founder and co-chief editor of the society journal The Parish Review, the primary editor of The IFOBS Brian O’Nolan Bibliography, as well as the co-organizer of “100 Myles: International Flann O’Brien Centenary Conference” (Vienna, 2011) and the forthcoming “Problems with Authority: The II International Flann O’Brien Conference,” to take place at the Università Roma Tre in June 2013.
