Group Project - Group Formation

When is it due? Friday, May 29th at 11:59pm.

How many points is it worth? The initial proposal from last week, together with this assignment, will be worth 4% of your project grade (or 1% of your final grade).

The purpose of the group project is to get hands-on experience in applying machine learning algorithms to interesting/important problems. Without further ado, it's time to form teams so that your team can start sculpting a detailed proposal for a project that tackles some interesting/important problem. Groups should be between 4 to 6 students. The ideal group size is 4. That said, you might try to get 5 students now in case one student drops the course. Each group member will be submitting an

one paragraph describing the project you are thinking of doing

These submissions are meant to be identical. Please note that the paragraph you go with is not yet binding; your project can change prior to the next milestone (the formal proposal). However, you should put serious thought right now into what your group is likely to do and describe that project in your paragraph.
