Highschool Prerequisites

Students applying to UVic directly from high school and who intend to complete a specific degree program (like Physics or Linguistics) should contact Undergraduate Admissions for information to help plan their Grade 11 and 12 years.

Remember - students may be admitted to a general faculty (like Science or Humanities) by meeting general faculty admission requirements - please do not confuse admission requirements for a specific faculty with specific degree program prerequisites.

For example, students may meet the minimum requirements for admission to the Faculty of Science, but may not have the necessary requirements for earning a degree in Physics.

Course prerequisite can meant to help students who are planning to complete a particular degree program. Remember - students who have been accepted into a general faculty may take university level courses to later qualify for a specific program.
