With Western Canada’s largest co-operative education program, UVic offers you a chance to gain practical experience in 47 academic areas of study. Co-operative education gives our students opportunities to enrich academic learning with relevant paid work experience and “test drive” their career choice. The UVic campus is on acres of green park-like land, located just 15-minutes from downtown and within a few minutes walk from the ocean. Our students enjoy beautiful gardens, jogging trails, and a preserved forest that surround the campus buildings.

Our modern facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms and research laboratories, computer labs, libraries, counselling and health services, an interfaith chapel, a museum, theatre, cafeterias and cafés, a travel agency, hair salon, a student-run radio station, and two athletic and recreational facilities. We offer guaranteed on campus residence housing for students entering UVic directly from secondary school.

Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, Victoria is a beautiful city located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, is renowned for its natural beauty and mild climate. The city of 330,000 is regarded as beautiful, clean and safe. Unlike most other Canadian cities, winters are mild, and it rarely snows. Downtown Victoria is home to cafes, nightclubs, restaurants and shopping districts. The city hosts various festivals throughout the year including an independent film festival, a literary arts festival and a jazz festival. The outdoors opportunities available on Vancouver Island are endless. Kayaking, kite surfing, skiing, and hiking are just a few of the activities you can enjoy.
