The UVic campus is on acres of green park-like land, located just 15-minutes from downtown and within a few minutes walk from the ocean. Our students enjoy beautiful gardens, jogging trails, and a preserved forest that surround the campus buildings.
Our modern facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms and research laboratories, computer labs, libraries, counselling and health services, an interfaith chapel, a museum, theatre, cafeterias and cafés, a travel agency, hair salon, a student-run radio station, and two athletic and recreational facilities. Unlike most other Canadian cities, winters are mild, and it rarely snows. Downtown Victoria is home to cafes, nightclubs, restaurants and shopping districts. The city hosts various festivals throughout the year including an independent film festival, a literary arts festival and a jazz festival.
