Hello and Welcome!
Our program is now full for the
September 2014 intake.
Thank you for your interest and support!
Peer Helpers are students trained in listening, support and referral skills. Our drop-in centers provide comfortable, private, confidential and safe spaces for students who would like someone to talk to. You can find Peer Helpers in the Learning Commons at McPherson Library, 135e and in the Residence Resource Hub, in the Health and Wellness Centre, Sanderson 102. You can also find us in the Welcome Centre in the University Centre. We host regular weekly events where any and all students can connect with each other. Please feel free to drop by and talk with one of us about whatever is on your mind and/or join us at one of our social gatherings. See the blue side bar for details.
Peer Helping is a program supported by Counselling Services. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like more information about the program, the Staff Coordinator(s) can be reached at (250) 721-8341 or Counselling Services at the University of Victoria.
