Image Gallery

Images in this gallery are from the University of Victoria’s Photo Services department. The gallery is intended as a viewing and sharing tool.  Please contact Photo Services regarding purchase of images or for further viewing.

Many of the images are representative of an entire shoot, so other renditions or orientation may exist.  Please call or email if you would like to enquire about other similar images.

The gallery consists of a group of albums, all which contain many individual images. The list of albums appears as an image icon, and, as a list to the left of the page.

You may search randomly through the various albums, or you may enter keywords in the “Search” field at the top left of the page.  The navigation bar also exists top left and will take you back to the main page, back to an album etc. 

Once inside a album, you may click on a particular image to see it larger.  You can then read the caption for more information, print the image for reference, send it as an eCard to a colleague for discussion, or add it to a Favourites page that will be saved from session to session.  The Favourites page can be used to edit a collection of photos and can also be printed for reference.  You will need to register as a user to use this feature, instructions are at the top of the Gallery page.

If you save any images to your desktop, be sure to keep the file number with the image.  You will need the file name e.g. d-2910061207  to place an order.  It may help you to know that the file name is based on a date system.  d-2910061207  was shot on or around the 29th day of October, 2006.  The “d” means that it was shot in digital format.
