NOWCAM 2012 (May 10-12)

NorthWest Cognition And Memory (NOWCAM) is an annual conference for psychology students and faculty in the region who are interested in memory and cognition. The 13th NOWCAM will be held at the Burnaby campus of Simon Fraser University. It will begin in the evening of May 10th, 2012 and run into the afternoon of May 12th. The conference, hosted by Prof. Deb Connolly and her colleagues at SFU, will feature a keynote by Prof. Pierre Jolicoeur, who is a celebrated expert on the cognitive neuroscience of attention. Other papers and posters at NOWCAM will be presented by students (often co-authored by faculty). This is going to be a terrific meeting.

Early in the spring students on the NOWCAM listserve will receive instructions on how to submit a proposal to present a paper and/or poster, along with a deadline to be decided (somewhere aroundmApril 1st, 2012). Student submissions are accepted as long as they have something to do with memory and/or cognition, and as long as there is room on the program. If you would like to present your research to a friendly and engaged audience (and be able to put it on your C.V.), this is a great opportunity.
