I’m looking for a postgraduate student to study the thermo-tectonic evolution of rocks on Vancouver Island (or other areas) using fission-track and U-Th/He thermochronology. To be considered, the candidate should have a degree in geology, geophysics or other related fields with a good GPA that is qualified for the UVic scholarship. Candidates willing to apply for external fellowships are particularly welcome. Enthusiasm in earth science is a must, and students with good quantitative skills are favoured. Applications for either a Master’s or PhD program will be considered. Email me your application, which should clearly explain your motivation (why you want to do a Master’s/PhD with me) and competence (why I should hire you). Please also attach a copy of your CV and transcript if possible. The successful candidate can start in May or September 2020.
