Xin Qiao has arrived in Victoria and is about to start her investigation on the rocks of Vancouver Island! Xin was supposed to start her PhD with Dante Canil and myself in September 2020. However, due to the international travel restriction and suspension of the on-campus activity in UVic amid the covid-19 pandemic, Xin had to delay her starting date until this year. It was a tough year, but we are looking forward to post-covid adventure on the island!
