Accommodation

Victoria is a hugely popular destination in the spring and summer months, so attendees are recommended to get in early. We've negotiated great rates for symposium delegates at the conference location, the award-winning Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa in downtown Victoria, right on the inner harbour.

Guest room rates

Delta Rooms: $159 single/double
Premier Rooms: $189 single/double
Deluxe Rooms: $219 single/double

[Note: all rooms are the same; the increased price gets you an increasingly spectacular view]

Each extra person sharing a room will be charged an additional $30 per night. There is no charge for children up to and including the age of 18 years who share with their parents. Maximum occupancy per room is 4 adults.

Room rates are subject to a Hotel Room Tax of 10% and Goods and Services Tax of 6%. Note that these taxes and percentages are subject to change without notice. All rates are in Canadian funds.

Reservation procedures

Delegates are responsible for making their own individual reservations and should do so prior to April 16, 2007 to qualify for the group rate. Call the Reservations Department at 1-800-667-4677 or email the Delta at vic.reservations@deltahotels.com and advise them that you are attending the UVic - Silicon Symposium.

Cancellation of individual reservations made up to 48 hours prior to arrival will be accepted, and the deposit refunded for those rooms for the full night's stay. Reservations and deposits received after April 16, 2007, or exceeding the contracted room block, will be confirmed on a space and rate available basis only. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.
