Location

The symposium will be held in the beautiful city of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada from May 31 to June 2, 2007. Victoria is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, and is extremely well served with transportation links - it is just a 15 minute flight (or 90 minute ferry ride) from Seattle or Vancouver. The trip to the island from the mainland passes over or through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

• Victoria airport (YYJ) is located in Sidney, about 25 km north of Victoria. The drive takes about half an hour by taxi, somewhat longer by the Airporter Shuttle service.
• A passenger ferry, the Victoria Clipper, operates between Seattle and downtown Victoria.
• The BC Ferries service from Tsawwassen arrives at Swartz Bay, a half-hour drive north of downtown Victoria. Highway 17 takes you straight downtown, and it is just a short distance to the conference venue.
• Seaplanes and helicopters operate between downtown Vancouver and Victoria's Inner Harbour.

If you are travelling from outside of Canada, you will generally require a passport. For US citizens, the documents/paperwork needed for international travel are outlined on the US Customs and Border Protection website.

Sessions will be held in the superbly located Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa in downtown Victoria, overlooking the Inner Harbour. Just across the Johnson Street bridge or a quick harbour ferry ride are all the delights of the downtown. Google Maps will help you find the conference location.
