Pebble Beach – 3rd hole. Par
4 - 341 yards
200 yds 300 yds 150 yds 400 yds 1. With a partner or in a group of three select an
iron (3 – 7), a lofted club (8 – 10 or wedge) and a putter. Experienced players may also select a
wood. 2. Choose a hole to play (select from diagrams of
holes). 3. Select a target as your line to the green. 4. Begin with a tee shot from a plastic tee using a
whiffle ball, and hit remaining shots from carpet mat or from plastic tee. 5. Your partner(s) is/are responsible for deciding
how far and in which direction your ball has gone, based on the flight of the
whiffle ball and relationship to target line. She/he will tell you where you will play your next shot from on
the diagram. 6. Balls going off the diagram or in the water will
result in one penalty shot. Next shot
will be played from where the ball went out of play. 7. For each shot you will have to select the
appropriate club. The club you select
will depend on your distance from the hole and the obstacles in your path
(i.e. you might have to hit over a bunker so you will need to get plenty of
height). 8. When you reach the green, take your regulation
ball and putter to the carpet green (combine mats) and putt the hole out,
putting the ball into the ball container. 9. For each player, record the number of strokes from
tee to green, the number of putts, and add these two for the score on the
hole. |
