By the end of the unit, the students will each have practiced their sending skills and will be able to demonstrate proper throwing technique. They will be knowledgeable of how to improve their accuracy. They will also have created a Frisbee golf course, and will have developed an idea of strategy. In addition, through the Frisbee golf unit, the students will be introduced to outdoor environments, and will have knowledge of ‘leave no trace’ ethics, along with safety considerations with being in an outdoor environment, as well as the challenges and benefits to being in a natural environment that is not human-manicured.
