GPAI form level 1 "skill focus" rating
1.
Read the criteria for Game Performance Criteria. 2.
Throughout assessment process record Won (P)
or Lost (X) for completed point (see 2nd column). 3.
Initially focus on the “Base” for 3 points (dark grey shaded
area). Discuss with the
player his/her use of “Base”. If the player successfully meets (rating 3/4, 4 or 5) on this
criteria move on to stage 4 or else offer suggestions to the player then
repeat for 3 points (lighter grey shaded area), until player successful. 4.
Next, focus on the “Decision making” and then after that the
“Cover” components. As
with “Base” record for 3 points (grey shaded area), discuss and move
on if the player is successful (rating 3/4, 4 or 5). 5.
Add up totals and calculate the mode scores (most common). 6.
Add up points won and points lost. Reflect
on what the data indicates with the player in light of points won and
lost. 7.
Write notes under the score for each component. 8.
Focus upon “Adjust” component and the “Skill execution”
criteria rating (grey shaded areas). 9.
Record for three points rating “Adjust” and, skill selection
and execution. 10.
Add up totals for “adjust” score and calculate the mode score. 11.
Reflect on data. Interpret
adjust action and skill rating for player in light of points won and lost. 12.
Write notes under the score for each component. Use GPAI sheet to write course reflection. Suggest ways to help yourself improve based on the GPAI scores and activities being used in class.

Skill Execution. 2.

Initially focus on the “Base” for 4 shots (dark grey shaded
area). Mark a “P” for each appropriate use of “Base” and a “X” for an
inappropriate use of “Base”. 4.
Next, focus on the “Decision making” and then after that the
“Cover” components. As
with “Base” record for 4 shots (grey shaded area), discuss and move on
if the player is successful (3 or more “P”). 5.
Add up totals and calculate the percentage scores (no. of “P”
x 25%). 6.
Add up points won and points lost. Reflect
on what the data indicates with the player in light of points won and
lost. 7.
Write notes under the score for each component. 8.
Read the “Skill execution” criteria rating.
Focus upon “Adjust” and the “Skill execution” columns (grey
shaded areas). 9.
Record for four shots rating “Adjust” and, skill selection and
execution. 10.
Repeat if player not successful (2 or more “X”). 11.
Add up totals for “adjust” score and calculate the percentage
scores (no. of “P”
x 25%). Reflect on data. Interpret
adjust action and skill rating for player in light of points won and lost. 12.
Write notes under the score for each component. Use GPAI sheet to write course reflection. Suggest ways to help yourself improve based on the GPAI scores and activities being used in class. |
