	Attendance and Participation

	Worth 10% of course marks. Twenty classes from a possible twenty-four will be set during the term. Failure to attend set classes will result in marks not be earned. Exceptions are if you are forced to miss class for a valid medical reason or compassionate reason, in which case documentation will be needed and it will be your responsibility to catch up on the activity notes and learning from class. Full attendance and participation will result in 8/10 of marks (approximate ½ mark for each class attended). Evidence of practice outside of class will make up the remaining 2/10 of marks for participation (approximate ½ mark for each practice session). Additional practice outside of class will be considered as make up for any absences from class. Four classes will not be set in lieu od after school sessions taught at a local school (proposed dates Mon Feb 23^rd, Mon March 1^st, Mon March 8^th and Mon March 15^th).
