Active Living - Cognitive

*      Understand the principles and concepts that support active living.

*      Develop and maintain a personal level of functional physical fitness.

*      Develop a positive toward active living in the pursuit of lifelong health and well-being.

 

Unit Plan: SQUASH 9 – 10

*      Students will demonstrate concepts such as consistency, position and placement, and spin and power

*      Students will  visualize the steps, sequence, or details involved in a given task

*      Students will demonstrate independence and personal motivation

*      Students will make decision about an entry point into a tack by choosing an initial level of performance assessor

 

Movement- Psychomotor

*      Demonstrate efficient and effective movement skills and concepts in all movement categories.

*      Demonstrate a functional level of activity-specific motor skills.

*      Demonstrate efficient and effective body mechanics.

*      Students will reproduce a model by immediate performance

*      Students will demonstrate an individual level of skill proficiency

*      Students will demonstrate an increase in active time-on-task

*      Students will produce movements applicable to individual situations

 

Personal and Social Responsibility - Affective

*      Develop positive personal and social behaviors and interpersonal relationships.

*      Develop career and occupational opportunities related to physical activities.

*      Develop intellectual skills through participation in physical activity.
