If the student does meet the criteria for an event in skill execution, such as a smash that is in the court, a check mark is placed beside the student’s name under “yes” in “Skill execution.” If the criteria is not met, such as a smash that hits the net, the check mark is placed under “no” in “Skill execution.”
1) Decision Made – Criteria:
Student attempts to hit to open space, or directly at opponent
2) Motor Skill Execution – Criteria:
Smash – Birdie is hit in the court
Overhead clear – Birdie is hit very high to back of court
Net shot – Birdie is hit very low over the net and close to the net
3) Defending – Criteria:
Student recovers to correct position on court
Student is in ready position before opponent attack
