Skill Objective: TSWBAT fake out and read the defender to either make
a good pass or change direction
Introductory task/game
Play a 3 on 3 Mini Soccer Game-ask the question: How did you make time
for yourself to make a successful pass?

| Fake Demo- teacher demonstrates the stepover fake
Teaching Points for right footed fake: keep weight on left foot and
quickly sweep right foot around the ball
Questions: Are there any other fakes? How could the defender react?
What are your options after the fake?

Faking Concept -in groups of 3, have the students go out onto the field
and practice fakes

Lesson focus: Getting the player into effective scoring position by shooting
the ball and moving
