FOUR GOAL SOCCER
Game/Task Outline
Tactical Problem: Teams must maintain possession of the ball and score in any of four goals. They must also defend all four goals.
Skill development: TSWBAT effectively maintain possession of the ball (on the ball skills) by dribbling and finding the open space/ player in order to score and gain an advantage.
  • Teaching points:
    • emphasize passing angles
    • calling for the ball
    • quick movement
    • must defend all four goals
    • out of bounds ball becomes a throw-in for the other team
    • keep track of points
    • no goalies
    Organizational Points: 
    • Use two games for a regular size class for more "time on task"
    • pinnies vs. non pinnies (switch after certain amount of time)
    • goals should be no larger than 1m
    • smaller fields
