MANAGERIAL ROUTINES


Attendance - attendance is mandatory and is taken during the 
warm-up activity to decrease standing around 

- those without strip can join in on the class if they 
wish to 

-students will notify the teacher beforehand if they 
will be missing a class

Student Conduct -no talking while teacher or peer is talking to the class

-students will raise their hand to be called upon

-students will treat each other and the teacher with respect

Gym Sript - gym strip is mandatory

- strip consists of shorts or sweat pants, running shoes and an T- shirt or sweatshirt

- students must participate to the best of their ability without strip

Bathroom Priviledges -students are allowed to go to the bathroom when they need to

-must ask permission from teacher before leaving class and report back to class immediately

Equipment - equipment not being used is put back in its proper place. 

-hula-hoops can be used to contain equipment

-#'s assigned to students in groups so that different students go and get different equipment

- not spread out around field (spread out if required by teacher)

- only equipment necessary for lesson is brought out
-students must assist in returning equipment at end of class

Grouping of students - each student allowed to choose own partner

- switch partners after varying amount of drills

- odd # students are put into other group to make larger group

- teacher assigns students a number to make own groups
eg. "ones are on this field and two's are on that field"

-have "odd man out" switch each class

Dismissal - teacher is in control of class, not the bell

- after class, teacher brings students in to review days activities (key points)

- teacher informs students of what is happening next class

- all equipment must be collected and put away properly before students are dismissed

Demonstrations - align students in semicircle so they can see you and you can see them

- align students with backs facing any distractions (ie. sun or other students)

- use students in demo as much as possible (varying the student who demo's to give each student a chance)

- make sure that the student doing the demo is going to provide an adequate deomonstration
