Tactics:
 

•   How using passing to teamates in order to invade an area

Skill:

Chest Pass

• Two hands evenly spaced on ball
• Bring ball into chest by bending elbows, keeping hands facing foward
• Extend both hands towards target
• Followthrough with fingers pointing forward, realeasing the ball with back spin

Organization:

Students will practice chest pass technique against the wall, until they feel comfortable with the pass.
 

• In groups of three students will use pass to move forward and "score" over line
• Students should be in a five metre grid five metres, away from a scoring line and use passes to move forward and get over line (in the example the half court line is the scoring line)
• Students not passing should be moving forward off the ball to receive pass

 Extensions:

• The students will now attempt use passes to move forward and score past a defender
• Defender will attempt take ball from the attacking players
