Managerial Routines
Gym Strip
-
All students are expected to
come to class with appropriate gym strip (athletic shorts or sweatpants,
t-shirt, and clean, proper footwear; no tank tops or cut-off or jean shorts).
-
Students will have two to three
minutes to change at the beginning of class and are expected to do so as
quickly as possible before meeting in a semi-circle at center court.
-
Students will be given five
minutes at the end of class to change and report back to the teacher.
-
Lack of gym strip has a progression
of consequences (see below).
Attendance
-
Once students are gathered at
center court, teacher will do roll-call.
-
Students are expected to attend
and participate in all classes unless a medical or family emergency note
is provided.
-
Participation marks are largely
based on attendance.
-
A student who is present but
unable to participate due to injury (with a medical note) will be given
an observatory task to complete during the class.
-
A student who is present but
does not have a medical note will be subject to the progression of consequences
(see below).
Introduction/Dismissal
-
After students have changed
and attendance have been taken, the teacher will do a quick review of what
was learned in the previous lesson (if applicable) and introduce the day's
lesson.
-
At the end of the lesson, equipment
will be collected by selected students and teacher will dismiss the students
to the change rooms.
