Lesson 1 Tactical Problem

- Attacking the basket
- Defending the basket area

Lesson focus: - review shooting
                      - defensive and offensive rebounding
Skill objective: - To gain accuracy while shooting
                       - To gain possesion of the ball,
                         box out, outlet

Introductory task/game

1. Alia's rebounding game
2. Wall Game

Skill/Concept development tasks/games

2 rebounders vs. 1 shooter

2 vs. 2

Culminating Game:

5 on 5

Lesson 2 Tactical Problem

- Maintaining possesion of the ball

Lesson focus: - controlled dribbling
- passing techniques

Skill objective: - Ability to maintain control of the ball
                          while dribbling and move into
                          open space
                       - Ability to execute diffrent types of
                         passes accurately

Introductory task/game

Skill/Concept development tasks/games

1. Dribble and knock out
2. 3 vs. 3 with no dribbling

Culminating Game:

5 on 5, 1st no dribbling then add in dribbling

Lesson 3 Tactical Problem

- attacking the basket
- defending space

Lesson focus: - give and go
                     - 1 on 1 defense
Skill objective: - understand how to move into space
                          and how to attack the basket
                       - staying with your player (check)

Introductory task/game

1. Pass and go for shot
2. Pass and go with defender

Skill/Concept development tasks/games

1. 3 vs. 2 until score with using give and go
2. 1 vs. 1 defense, jab and shoot, jab and dribble

Culminating Game:
- 3 on 3, focus on give and go and 1 vs.1 defense

Lesson 4 Tactical Problem

- game pressure

Lesson focus: The Tournament
Skill objective: - understand the concept of team play
- play with sportsmanship, enthusiasm,
and confidence

Introductory task/game

1. Game warm-up

Skill/Concept development tasks/games

1. No dribbling
2. Pass to 3 different people

Culminating Game:
- The tournament
