CONTENT ANALYSIS
Content will be broken down progressively for tactical understanding and skill development (Hopper, 1998).  The relationship will be basic skill to play, then from game play to skill development and back to more challenging game play (Thorpe and Bunker, 1989).  Skills will be broken down into off-the-ball movements and on-the-ball skills (Griffin, Mitchell & Oslin, 1997).

How to maintain Possesion of the ball.
Keep possesion by making short quick passes opposed to long high passes. Catch the ball when it is thrown to you and run to an open space.
  Support ball handler, be in a good position, create space.

 

 How to create space for your team and use it affectively.   If there is a defender, move him in the opposite direction of your teammate. Side step or fake to make a defender go one way and you go the other. Run to open space until defender takes it away. Pass to area you just came from.

 

 Support ball carrier by running into space created. Move your defender to create space for the ball handler. Stay in deep space when recieving passes. Always run to where the defender is not.
 Defending as an individual and / or  a team


 Two handed tag below the waist and yell "Tag!" Communicate with teammates to decide who is covering who.  Stay in a line between your opponent and your goal. Do not get behind the ball. Anticipate where the ball is going to be passed to but don't actually move untill the ball is passed. Communicate with teammates to decide who is covering who.
