Team Data Collection
Team Game Form | ||
|
|
|
Possessions of ball | ||
Shots | ||
Goals |
With this simple form you can determine what area the teams need to
improve in most. If there is a high # of possessions and a low #
of shots, there is most likely a problem with getting open and maintaining
possession of the ball. If there is a high number of shots but a
low # of goals, the students need to work on their shooting technique.
If this chart is used often, you can track the progress of the team throughout
the unit.
Individual Data Collection
OBSERVER TEAM GAME FORM
Elements Assessed | Criteria | # of Occurrences | Total |
Availability during play | Received balls
Defensive abilities | Steals
Offensive abilities | Pass to partner
Shots | |||
Goals | |||
Adaptation to play | Turnovers
Volume of play | # of balls played
(Received + Steals) |
This form provides some information about the adaptation of the learner
to a game situation. Again, you can tell the strengths and the weaknesses
of the individual from the numbers in the different categories. Involving
students in the observation process will help them to see and understand
the necessity and use of different skills.
