4 Corner Drill/Task
Tactical Problem: Executing ball exchange in complex situations / maintaining possession
Skill development: passing, receiving, and posting skills / basic ball handling while dealing with traffic

Tactic

Organizational Points:
  • same set up as 2-corner drill except now have four corners
  • should have at least three players behind each cone
  • opposite lines should still be ten meters apart
  • basically it is two 2-corner drills perpendicular to each other
 Drill:
  • a progression from the 2-corner drill
  • same variations are executed, now you have to deal with two new groups crossing in front of you (i.e. line 2 run towards line 1 and line 3 run towards line 4)
  • head up, time your runs, avoid collisions
  • New Variation: run through and pass to your left/right
  • balls start at front of line of two opposite groups
  • players run out, get to middle and pass to the line left to them, and run through to opposite line, repeat.
  • Repeat drill passing to the right
