Game/Task Outline

BACK
Tactical Problem: finding the open space in order to give your partner a clear place to pass to; key is to maintain possession
Skill development: Practicing the getting open in a game situation
Teaching Points: 
  • the object of the game is to pass the ball to your partner across the end line to score a point
  • when you have the ball you can't move, just pivot.
  • no body is allowed to pass overhead
    • bounce and chest passes work the best
  • the points to focus on are:
    • keeping your head up 
    • control the pass
    • looking for the space

Organizational Points:
  • players partner up 
    • if they are matching up with similar people all the time tell them to switch partners.
  • partners then match up with another pair.
  • number themselves 1-4:
    • 1 and 2 find space
    • 3 grabs a ball
    • 4 gets 4 cones
