Equipment:

- equipment is kept in specific contains, so that equipment does not interfere or cause injury when not needed
tasks/games are designed to allow for odd numbers

- cones are set up before class starts, when cones are need to be changed or removed students are responsible

- when students are grouped, students are given different tasks within the group depending on their chosen number  (i.e. #1 gets the ball, #2 finds a space), which are geared toward a common goal

- while observing the students during activity, teacher walks around perimeter of gym with back to wall

- when explaining new tasks/games students are called into the center of the gym

- for brief intructions teacher always stands in the same location, so that students know where to direct their attention

- classroom rules were already set up and enforced at the beginning of the year by  PE teacher

- the students all get changed into their gym strip and immediately go for a run around the school outside, rain or shine

- the students are allowed to go to the washroom during class with permission from the teacher

- any students without a gym strip act as the teacher's helper (i.e. carrying boxes of pinnies)
