1) Equipment: Pick up racquets in order of: -
Last Names
- Order of placing on a jog/run
- Placement on tournament ladder
- Date of birth
Retrieval of Equipment: - Students without strip
- Those who are late
- Behavioral problems
2) Procedures: - Daily mark out
of five
- Automatic two out five for no strip
- One mark lost for being late
- Teacher announces when class is over
3) Groupings: - Lines of four to five
students to take attendance (Home base format)
- Rotating student captains to account for attendance and strip
- Pairing of partners #1 and #2
- Changing of partners as much as possible (promotes a wider variety
of learning experiences)
- Use pinnies to make teams, sort out height and skill, and to divide
the class
4) Classroom rules: - Respect teacher,
classmates, equipment and the learning environment
- Ask permission to use the washroom
5) Disipline: - Put an emphasis
on the student letting down his classmates by misbehaving. Try
not to turn it into a student teacher conflict.
