Psychomotor, Cognitive & Affective Domains
The purpose of this unit is to help students develop skills in the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains. As a result of the skill and tactical development students will be able to solve specific problems relating to rugby.
PSYCHOMOTOR
The psychomotor section will primarily be focused on developing students techniques and biomechanics of various rugby skills including passing, catching, and evasive skills.
COGNITIVE
Cognition will be developed through the recall and recognition of cues related to various skills and the solving of tactical problems with in various progressive games.
AFFECTIVE
The affective section of learning will help students to develop positive attitudes towards physical education, others and themselves. Students will develop classroom routines and work towards developing management skills. These management skills will later help students to develop their own tactical games. Students will be responsible for refereeing their own games, thus developing concepts such as fair play, respect and cooperation.
