Fukuhara Game


Rules:

-Start/Stop:

-someone from the end line serves the ball under the net to start

-when ball goes out of bounds, the person who received the point gets to roll the ball.

-In-game:

-ball can only go under the net

-a maximum of 3 touches/passes are required

-Score:

-to receive a point, the ball must go past the end line between the two spots

-if the ball goes out of bounds, the other team receives a point

-Focus:

-player who does not receive the ball releases to the net to support their partner and set them up for a hit

- placing the ball on the other side of the court so the other team has a difficult time returning the ball.

Line Game:


Rules:

-Start/Stop:

-player starts by bouncing the ball to the other player

  1. -if the ball gets away from a player or goes past them return to the starting position and player who won the point gets to start with the ball

-In-Game:

  1. -ball must bounce on your side of the court first

  2. -ball should bounce above waist height

  3. -players may use angles to move their opponent side to side and harder or softer bounces to move them forwards and backwards

  4. -Score:

  5. - to receive a point students must get the ball to bounce on the opponents side of the line

  6. -Focus

  7. -players must work on being in a low ready position so they can move forwards backwards and side to side in response to the placement of the ball by the other player

  8. -players with the ball should move their opponent around to gain an opportunity to score a point.

Castle Game


Rules:

-Stop/Start

  1. -one player starts with the ball and tosses either to themself or to the opponent for a forearm pass.

  2. -if the ball gets too far away from the spot or to close to other players then the game should stop and be brought back to the spot.

  3. -In-Game:

  4. -Ball must be hit above head height and should bounce once before opponent can forearm pass the ball

  5. -Score:

  6. -players score by landing the ball on the spot

  7. -Focus:

  8. -Focus is on keeping the ball under control and using the legs to propel the ball upward not the arms.

  9. -keeping a stable platform with the arms so as to pass the ball as close to the spot as possible’

  10. -players should be on the opposite side of the spot from their opponent so as to be in the best position to be ready to make a play on the ball after their opponent passes it.

2 vs 2  forearm pass game


Rules:

Stop/Start:

-one player serves with the ball over the net to the opponents side.

-when the ball bounces more than once on the ground or goes out of bounds, the ball is served again

In-Game:

-the ball must use the fore arm pass only

-a maximum of 3 hits per side

-the ball may bounce once in between passes

Score:

-score by the ball bouncing more than once on the ground or by going out of bounds

Focus:

-keeping the ball in play with a game like situation

-the partner who does not receive the pass should release to the net and be ready to set the ball back to their partner

-quick movements to the ball are important and players should be able to get to the ball, plant their feet and then make a pass
