Set Castle Game:


Rules:

-Stop/Start

  1. -one player starts with the ball and tosses either to themselves or to the opponent for a overhead pass.

  2. -if the ball gets too far away from the spot or to close to other players then the game should stop and be brought back to the spot.

  3. -In-Game:

  4. -Ball must be hit above head height and should bounce once before opponent can overhead pass the ball

  5. -Score:

  6. -players score by landing the ball on the spot

  7. -Focus:

  8. -Focus is on keeping the ball under control and using the legs to propel the ball upward not the arms.

  9. -keeping hands strong and spread to capture the ball

  10. -players should be on the opposite side of the spot from their opponent so as to be in the best position to be ready to make a play on the ball after their opponent passes it.

Forearm Pass and Overhead Pass Shuttles:


Rules:

Start/Stop:

-start by tossing the ball to the player across the way

-when the ball gets too far away for the players to receive, or bounces on the ground, stop and start with a toss again

In-Game:

-players keep the ball up in the air by forearm passing to the other player across from them.

-the player who just passes, follows their ball to line up behind the other players

Score:

-the team gets a point if they pass 10 consecutive passes in  row

Focus:

-to keep the ball in the air with the players continuously moving their feet to get ready for the pass

-players should see the pass, read it, respond to it, react to it and be able to return the pass to the other side.

-players should have a proper ready position to receive the pass coming to them and move quickly to be ready for the next pass

-it is easier with 4 people but for a challenge 3 people is a good number

Rules:

Start/Stop:

-player tosses the ball to start

-when the play gets too far from the spots, catch and toss again to restart.

In-Game:

-there are 4 spots that the two players shuffle back and forth from

-overhead pass the ball to the place where your partner is standing and shuffle to the other spot

-keep passes high so partner can get under them and pass back

Score:

-players receives a point when they get 10 passes consecutively with out struggle.

Focus:

-keep the ball in the air while the players are executing the proper movement and ball skills.

-players need to shuffle their feet quick in order to be ready to receive the pass coming from their parter.

-movement is key and players need to have appropriate ready positions to be able to react to the pass coming to them

2 vs 2 Forearm Pass and Overhead Pass Game


Rules:

Stop/Start:

-one player serves with the ball over the net to the opponents side.

-when the ball bounces more than once on the ground or goes out of bounds, the ball is served again

In-Game:

-the ball must use the fore arm pass only

-a maximum of 3 hits per side

-the ball may bounce once in between passes

-the 3 pass over the net needs to be and overhead pass

Score:

-score by the ball bouncing more than once on the ground or by going out of bounds

Focus:

-keeping the ball in play with a game like situation

-the partner who does not receive the pass should release to the net and be ready to set the ball back to their partner

-quick movements to the ball are important and players should be able to get to the ball, plant their feet and then make a pass
