THEME: Passing

OBJECTIVE

Make up a game in which two players try to keep the ball away from a third player.

IT MUST INVOLVE:
        • No physical contact between the players

CONDITIONAL RULES:
       • The passing players start with 5 points.
       • Passers gain a point every time a successful pass is made.
       • Passers lose a point every time the interceptor touches or
      catches the ball
 

YOU NEED:
        • Three players (“X” and “Y” on the diagram)
        • Two pinnies
        • A ball
        • A reasonable area to play in

DECIDE:
• When the interceptor (“Y”) swaps with a passer (“X”)
• Whether the the person with the ball can travel, and if so then how

Make up a game in which three players pass a ball in order to tag the fourth player, the runner, with the ball.

THE GAME MUST INVOLVE:
        • No physical contact between the players
        • The ball cannot be thrown at the runner
        • The runner must stay within the designated area
 

CONDITIONAL RULES:
        • The runner scores points for every pass made before he or
        she is tagged
        • Passers cannot travel with the ball

YOU NEED:
        • Four players (“P” and “R” on the diagram)
        • A ball
        • Four cones to mark a reasonable play space

Make up a game in which one player, the runner, sends a ball into space then tries to run around three bases before players on the bases can pass the ball around the bases.

THE GAME MUST INVOLVE:

• No physical contact between the players
• The ball cannot be thrown at the runner
• The runner must run around the bases
CONDITIONAL RULES: • The runner scores a point for a successful lap of the three bases
• Players on the bases cannot travel with the ball
YOU NEED:
        • Six players (three teams of two)
        • A ball
        • Four bases
        • A ‘T’-stand

DECIDE:
• How the ball is sent into play
• Size of the area to play in
• How teams are rotated

OBJECTIVE
Make up a game in which one team of players score by passing an object to their team player in the opposing teams’ goal area.

THE GAME MUST INVOLVE:
        • No physical contact between the players
        • A goal area for each team

YOU NEED:
        • Five to eight players (two teams of 3v2, 3v3, 4v3 or 4v4)
        • An object
        • A goal area marked by benches, hoops or lines
        • Coloured pinnies for each team

Line attack

DECIDE:
• How the ball is put into play
• Size of the area tof play
• How to start and re-start the game
• How a player is allowed to move with an object
• How a player is allowed to tackle a player with the object
• Who is allowed to catch the object in the opponent’s goal area.
