Game  6 -  Endball

 

Overview:

This game introduces the concept of invading an opposing teams territory as well as on and off the ball movement.  It incorporates passing, receiving, defending and off the ball movement into one game. Students are separated into teams of 4. For this game a rectangle playing area of 10m. x 20m. is used.


Rules:

1)Can only take 3 steps with ball.

2)Must pass at least 3 times before team can score using rugby passes.

3)When teams score the opposite team receives possession.

  1. 4) If the pass is dropped or knocked down it is a turnover.


Simplify

  1. -Allow for more steps.

  2. -When passes are dropped not a turnover.


Progression

  1. -Increase number of passes before scoring

  2. -Decrease number of steps allowed to take.

  3. -Only backward passes allowed. (may have to increase size of endzone)
