ROLL SHOT

 
 


1. Preparatory Phase

•Move to ball

•Feet firmly planted on floor

•Feet shoulder width apart 

•Arms over head


2. Wind-up Phase:

•Dominant arm reaches back to ear level

•Non-dominant arm stays extended, hand pointing to ball

•Torso leans back slightly


3. Force Phase/ contacting ball:

•Dominant arm contacts ball while non dominant comes down

•Heel of hand contacts lower side of ball with sliding up motion

•Shoulders squared to direction of shot

•Torso leans into hit slightly


4. Follow-through:

•Wrist flexes (snap wrist) while arm is fully extended

•Arm crosses over body on way down
