This course will consist of a series of seminars that will provide assistance in planning for the practicum, an opportunity to discuss current educational issues and an opportunity to deal with problems identified during the practicum experience. This year the course will start with a series of on-campus seminars during First Term and continue during the Second Term with seminars within close proximity of the student teacher's practicum site. In addition, all student teachers will participate in a two week "School Culture and Orientation Experience” at their practicum school.

Goals and Learning Outcomes
- to assist students in developing a knowledge and understanding of current educational issues.
- to assist students in developing their teaching, observing and evaluating skills.
- to assist students in developing "tools" for securing employment in the teaching profession.
- to assist students in understanding the role of various individuals and agencies in the educational process.
