CIDA
GLOBAL ARTS PROJECT

Global Arts represents the use of creative and cultural forms of artistic expression to impart images and impressions of the world we live in and a vision for the world we want. Through multiple modes of expression, we can create images of our world to elicit global kinship and social responsibility.

The global arts project has been created to allow students to exchange multiple forms of Arts (pictures, dance, drama, crafts, poetry, music) with students from a wide spectrum of cultures around the world. The Global Arts project started with an exchange of Art between children in Canada and children in Afghanistan and Iraq in November 2003 for the Learning and the World We Want conference. With the support of CIDA the project has expanded enabling teachers to create curricula resources to develop ongoing global connections as part of their school programs.
