26 October 2011. The Science Fair to be held April 15-16, 2012 will be the 51st consecutive Science Fair on Vancouver Island - one of the longest running fairs in Canada.
Note that the Science Fair will take place over 2 days (Sunday & Monday), one day shorter than in the past.
The deadline for applications will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012.
2010
20 September 2010. The Science Fair to be held April 9-11, 2010 was the 50th consecutive Science Fair on Vancouver Island - one of the longest running fairs in Canada. Watch for news about events to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.

3 March 2009. New link to Science Fair in a Box implemented for Registration

2008
19 May 2008. Youth Science Foundation Canada announced that 11 of the 16 Team Canada members returned home with awards from the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2008, held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Michael Peters, 16, from the Vancouver Island Region, was selected to join Team Canada in Atlanta with his project “The Actuator”. Michael won a Scholarship Award from the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance for $1,000 US.
2007
22 May 2007. Canada-wide Science Fair results ().
13 March 2007. Seven students will attend the Canada Wide (); New Award – the Aspreva Award ().
12 February 2007. BC students win international award.
2 February 2007. Saanichton teen takes science project to world (Times Colonist article).
31 January 2007. Press release: Science Fairs: from Vancouver Island to Taiwan.
2006
May 2006. Arielle Garrett, Tovel Boucher, Simon Bild-Enkin, Alice Jourmel and Renée Rogers attended the 2006 CWSF in Saguenay, QC. Arielle won Gold in the Earth and Environmental Science category (Intermediate). Tovel won Silver in the Automotive category (Intermediate). Simon won an Honourable Mention in the Engineering category (Intermediate). Alice won the CAP Prize for Physics, a special award. All students were happy with their results.
